David Baba, OD
Dr. Baba was born in Fresno area, California and raised on their small family grape farm. He attended California State University, Fresno and the University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry. He is married to Kathee, a nationally recognized decorative artist who specializes in the One Stroke style of painting. With her Elite certification, she teaches classes in Merced and Modesto. His children are Kristina, who is employed in the practice; Christopher, a firefighter for the State of California; and Connor, who attends California State University Stanislaus.
Dr. Baba is a member of the American Optometric Association, and California Optometric Association. His professional activities include Site Conservation Chairman for the Merced Breakfast Lions Club and his hobbies include watching Fresno State and Cal football and basketball teams, exercising at the sport club, and traveling to new optometric continuing education locales.

Christine
Christine has been with the practice since 1994. She primarily enters eyeglass prescription information into the computer for internet transmission to the optical manufactoring laboratory. She is valued for being highly skilled at fashion oriented eyewear selections as well as recommending lens options compatible with your lifestyle. She also conducts contact lens training sessions for new wearers. She will perform preliminary tests on patients prior to be seen by the doctor.
Christine has three active children who are all involved in sports.

Sheri
Sheri works in our optical dispensary since 2000 and will skillfully assist you while making your eyewear selection and with your contact lens training. Sheri enjoys her task of insuring that you leave with eyewear best suited to your personality and lifestyle.
Sheri and her family have lived in Merced for eight years. Her husband is a manager with Costco Wholesale and her two sons attend Buhach Colony High School. Her children are both active in sports.

Kristina
Kristina has worked for our office since 1998. Her numerous accomplished duties include billing insurances, preliminary testing, and eyewear selections appropriate for your lifestyle and visual needs. She can take digital retinal photographs and run scans on the retinal nerve fiber layer analyser and perform corneal topography. Currently, she is our receptionist and will cheerfully greet you with a smile when you arrive. She is the key to having the day's appointments proceed smoothly and efficiently for you the patient and our office staff. She is trusted with the task of obtaining proper insurance authorizations prior to your visit as well as carefully organizing and maintaining the daily schedule so there is ample time for your examinastion.
She and her husband, Antonio, are happily married and enjoy church activities and socializing with friends. She is the happy Mom to their 3 year old son, Nathan.

Kerri
Kerri has been in the eyecare field since 1994. She can perform preliminary and specialty testing (digital retinal photographs and retinal nerve fiber layer scans) on patients and also assists in eyewear selection and contact lens training. However, she primarily manages insurance billing and carefully handles all financial matters concerning patient accounts.
Kerri is married with two children. Her husband is a firefighter with the State of California. She enjoys camping and spending time with her family.

Anna Marie
Anna Marie is the newest member of our team. She brings valuable office experience from her prior employment at a specialty medical office. She is our primary pre-examination technician and will help gather your health history, accurately measure your visual acuity, intraocular pressure and peripheral vision. She will measure your blood pressure. She may optionally test for color vision deficits and depth perception problems.
Anna Marie also serves as our quality control person by contacting you to ensure the vision and comfort of your new glasses are optimal, as well as inspecting our charts for completeness prior to being filed away.
Anna Marie's husband is an electrical lineman for Merced Irrigation District. Together they enjoy attending Nascar events, participating in tractor pulls and watching horror films. She spends time with her horse, Hops, in her spare time.
